Susquehanna Trailways Policies

General information. Please read — it may save you some questions.

Responsibility

Susquehanna acts solely in the capacity of any agent on behalf of its tour patrons and, as such, arranges for transportation, lodging, admissions, sightseeing and any other services. We are not responsible for any damage, loss, delay, injury or accident due to any act or default on the part of any company or person engaged in providing transportation, lodging, sightseeing or other service which is a part of any tour. Rates quoted on this website are based on current tariffs at time of posting and although we anticipate no change, rates are subject to change at or before time of final payment. Susquehanna Transit Company dba Susquehanna Trailways reserves the right to withdraw or make changes to any tour without notice that may become necessary and any refunds due will not exceed the actual purchase price of said tour.

If you must cancel on a tour that includes admissions such as show or sports tours, our tour staff will attempt to re-sell tickets but cannot accept sole responsibility to do so.

Due to supplier deadlines, occasionally it becomes necessary to cancel a tour. In the past, many times after a tour has been canceled, a sufficient number of people attempt to make reservations that the tour could have materialized. Don't disappoint yourself or others; make your reservation as far in advance as possible and your tour will have a better chance of going as scheduled.

Reservations

When making a reservation, the following information is required: name of each passenger, address, and telephone of person responsible for reservation and desired pick-up location. For overnight tours, please mention any special accommodations required. Only the person making the reservation will receive boarding information, unless requested otherwise. Make reservations only for the number of passengers you are willing to accept responsibility for payment. Make certain you fully understand all payment policies when making reservations. We will enforce all policies in a fair and consistent manner.

Seating

All seats in the motorcoach are fully reclining with picture-window view. We have a computerized reservation system for our motor coach tours. When making a reservation, you may request a specific location in the motorcoach: window or aisle. We feel this is beneficial, especially for couples or groups. There is a greater chance of preferred seating on the motorcoach when reservations are made early. Spacing between seats may not be uniform and varies from motorcoach to motorcoach. If upon boarding, the space between seats is inadequate for a passenger, reasonable efforts will be made to attempt to accommodate passengers upon notification to the escort or driver.

Special Service

It is the intent of Susquehanna Trailways to comply fully with the Americans With Disabilities Act (ADA). In order to ensure the arrangement of proper services for our tour program, we request advance notification and specific identification of the special needs of all customers no less than the date of full payment (14 days prior to departure). We are not liable for the failure of suppliers of travel or other services to comply with their own requirements under ADA, however we will make reasonable efforts to assist in notification.

Lost Items

Susquehanna Trailways is not responsible for any personal property which is left, lost, stolen or damaged on the motorcoach. Double-check all items each time you disembark the motorcoach. If you do leave something behind, please call our offices with a description of the item, the date, the motorcoach number or drivers name and approximate location where you believe it was left. We will make every effort to locate your property but are not responsible for such.

Escorts

Escorts are company personnel provided to assist with the comfort and enjoyment of passengers while on board the motorcoach. Escorts are not Tour Guides; although they may be familiar with areas and share information; that is not their function. Responsibilities include assisting the driver, passenger needs and to work with vendors and attractions. Additionally they will promote upcoming events, tours and enforce company policy.

Inclement Weather

In all seasons, weather can play an integral part on tour plans. In Winter, all scheduled tours will depart as scheduled unless otherwise recommended by the State Police. In Summer, all tours will depart as scheduled, rain or shine, unless we are notified of cancellation of the scheduled event. We are not responsible for lack of notification of cancellation on the part of a vendor or attraction prior to our scheduled departure. We also reserve the right to alter an itinerary due to weather conditions. Consult cancellation insurance information to protect your money from weather related cancellations.

Objectionable Persons

We reserve the right for our employees to remove from any tour any passenger who is acting in a disruptive or abusive manner. Such passengers who are posing a safety hazard to themselves, other passengers or to the tour, will be left in a public area with access to a telephone and shelter. These passengers will not be eligible for any refund.

Smoking

Due to Federal Regulations, smoking is NOT permitted on any tour. We apologize for the inconvenience and will make efforts to stop en route to accommodate smokers.

Alcoholic Beverages

Alcoholic beverages are not permitted in the passenger area of the motorcoach on any tours. Coolers may be transported in the luggage compartment for later consumption.

Gift Cards

Gift Cards are available in our offices and may be purchased in any dollar amount desired. Gift Cards are great for anyone for any occasion. Gift cards are specified for Susquehanna Company Tours only, however if specified at time of purchase, may be purchased for use with a specified charter group. These cards may not be redeemed for cash and are non refundable.

Cell Phones

We recognize it may be necessary for passengers to take or even make phone calls from time to time while on board the motorcoach. Please be considerate, keep all calls as short as possible while on board and control the volume. At no time should a speaker phone be used. Thank you in advance for your cooperation and understanding in this matter.
